About about.biz
about.biz is a supplier passport. Since the Dutch Cyberbeveiligingswet took effect on 15 August 2026, more than 8,000 organisations must test whether their direct suppliers meet their security requirements. Suppliers therefore get different questions from every customer. On about.biz a supplier proves once who it is: that the domain is theirs, that the company is active in the business register, that its certificates check out with the certification body, and a questionnaire that a named person at the company signs. Every fact carries its source and date. The supplier shares the passport with a link, with every customer who asks.

Our sources
We check at several sources: company registers, certification bodies, sanctions and insolvency data, and the domain itself. For the Dutch register checks we use Cloudpliant as a source; on a passport the source line says so, for example “KvK Handelsregister via Cloudpliant”.
